ZAK ZEINERT is an Austin based photographer specializing in Landscapes, Cityscapes, Real Estate, Architecture, as well as Travel and Commercial photography.
Zak grew up in the suburbs of north Houston and developed an interest in photography at an early age. After buying his first camera at age 14, it wasn't long before Zak was teaching himself the ins and outs of Photoshop as well.
Zak studied Photojournalism at Abilene Christian University and graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in 2010. While there, he served as chief photographer for the University newspaper The Optimist and was also rewarded photographer of the year from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication.
After college, he spent 5-years in Los Angeles pursuing acting before deciding to go back to Texas and back to photography.
Zak has had the opportunity to work with some amazing businesses, including hotels, start-ups, marketing agencies, and real estate companies. In 2016, he was invited to fly to Ketchikan, Alaska as part of Alaska Airlines' Weekend Wanderer campaign. While there, his photos were deemed impressive enough for the owners of the New York Hotel where he was staying to ask him to extend his visit and shoot for them as well.
Zak's biggest adventure, though, came in September of 2016 when he embarked on his own personal project: Rediscovering America - a 6-month photographic odyssey to capture the beauty of the United States. In 179 days, he visited 39 states and 25 national parks, all while living out of his Rav4. He arrived home in March 2017 with a life's worth of memories and the best photos of his career.
